Project Scope
- Constructed to BC MoTI 2020 Standard Specifications for Highway Construction.
- Clearing of vegetation onsite.
- Prepare equipment with bio lubricants to be working in-steam.
- Installation of poly lined meter bags for stream isolation to conduct required fish salvage.
- Excavate sloughed materials from erosion caused by flood in 2017 along with gullying and erosion also occurring on the embankment and around upslope piers from highway runoff.
- Placement of riprap around piers to prevent further erosion.
- Installation of grout around base of some piers for additional erosion support.
- Restoration and revegetation of site.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Preconstruction meeting with the Owner;
- Weekly meetings and progress updates;
- Updates when required to the Owner regarding technical or site issues or discrepancies encountered. Solutions provided as options when applicable;
- Quality management updates and quality control check sheets of construction progress and material installs;
- Coordination of subcontractors to complete project works;
- Coordination of third-party utilities such as BC Hydro, Pacific Northern Gas, TELUS, Shaw, etc.;
- Site inspections with the Owner; and,
- Final walk through and completion of deficiencies in a timely manner.
